The 2006 Husqvarna 4-stroke Enduro lineup is going to revolutionize off-road motorcycling. Every 2006 Husqvarna TE model is street legal. Yes 100% DOT approved for street use in all 50 states. That means you can race it on Sunday and ride it to work on Monday.
Engine improvements in the 2006 Husqvarna TE 450 include intake valves that have increased from 33 mm to 37 mm and exhaust from 28.5 mm to 31 mm. The intake cams are also new as are the redesigned inlet and exhaust manifolds. A supplementary flywheel and torque damper has been added to improve power delivery and traction. The new back-up kick start system has also been improved and provides for easier starting in the event of an emergency. The kick start lever has been redesigned as have all the internal kick start components. The TE 450 models now come with an Arrow exhaust system that improves performance. All the Enduro models include spark arresters that meet USFS requirements.
New 50 mm Marzocchi forks, tried and tested in World Enduro Series races by Anders Eriksson and Mika Ahola, now grace the TE 450. The bike features new triple clamps that accommodate a 200 mm hub width and the Sachs rear shock absorber has been recalibrated. The handlebars are fully adjustable and come complete with plastic hand guards. The new digital instrument panel and more powerful headlight are particularly important for off-roading and use in rally events. The rear brake disc now measures 240 mm with 26 mm Brembo calipers meanwhile the front brakes have been fitted with new mixed-composite pads.
